I’m not sure what you were getting at with the allegory to chemicals, but I feel you on the existence thing. When sitting in my car in a traffic jam, this is even more apparent. Just think of how many people are on this earth….not even on this earth but just your home town. And yet we all want to think we’re special, but nearly all of us may be summarized by “born, play, work, die.” Once we are gone, and all those that remember us are gone, the question really is as if did we really exist at all. Those that have done deeds that have left an impact, they are the ones who can say yes in certainty.
